Biola Fagbuyi Arowolo(BFA) foundation partnered with Lend a hand of hope (LAHH) foundation to celebrate with over 500 children at the Ajegunle Children's Library and Discovery Center, Ojo street, Ajegunle, Lagos on Saturday, June 04, 2022. The "For the Kids" event was designed to create a fun-filled children's day celebration for school children from low-income communities like Ajegunle. The BFA Foundation contributed books to the Children's Library and provided gift packets to the ecstatic kids. Variety of activities such as book presentations, games, quiz and dance competitions were all part of the event.
"We are deeply grateful to the Lend a Hand of Hope foundation for organizing this event and to the BFA foundation for the books and gifts donated. It means everything to us and the kids, and as we say at the library, a book a day keeps poverty away. Thank you so much!" stated the Ajegunle Children's library and Discovery center’s founder.
"I am pleased you guys are here to celebrate this day for us, thank you very much" one of the kids told our correspondent. Another youngster who won a book in the quiz competition, Emmanuel Iheaka, expressed his joy at receiving a book and thanked the BFA Foundation for donating the books.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of gift bags to the children, who screamed a heartfelt "Thank you!" amid a sea of smiles.
